Babies and Children

Brooklyn & Skylar in Stapleton

I have been photographing these adorable twins since they were babies and now that they are almost five (!) I cannot believe how quickly time as gone by.  We have so much fun whenever I get the chance to capture not only their personalities, but their love for each other, that I can’t wait until the next time. And their parents, Shannon and Amanda, always make the photo sessions so enjoyable. This time we had the chance to add in grandparents Chris and Stephen, and I loved how much fun the kids had with them. All in all, just a great way to spend a sunny Denver late afternoon!!!

Welcome, Alex & Taylor!

Oh, I do so love photographing newborns. And when I get to photograph two at once it’s an even bigger treat! While I enjoy the posed, oh-so-adorable sleeping baby photos, what I really love is capturing those moments that show the family together. And, Kyle and Megan, you were such fabulous “models” along with your darling girls that it was hard to ever put the camera down. You are at the beginning of an amazing new adventure; I am just so, so glad you gave me the chance to document the beginning of it. Congratulations!!

Christmas Tree Transportation

So I saw this idea on Pinterest and fell in love with it (even though for most of the photos there was no snow anywhere to be found!). What I love best is that every. single. child who sat in that car smiled. And some kept running back to it, wanting nothing to do with the rest of the photo shoot! Thanks, Janet, for loaning me the twins’ car! You may actually get it back after Christmas!!

Ian and Kinsley in Parker

I LOVE photographing these babies! This is the second time (the first as newborns), and seeing how much they have grown and how adorable they are together just warms my heart. And Rachel and Scott are such incredible parents that the entire session was a delight.  I can’t wait until their one year photo session! Thanks, Rachel and Scott!

So Much Fun at the Halloween Photo Booth

I want to thank all the neighbors who stopped by to take part in our first annual (I hope!) Halloween Photo Booth in my courtyard in Stapleton. I enjoyed meeting so many people and had to share a small sample of the cute kids (and pets)!!!  Enjoy!

And I still have a few openings for my Holiday Photo Session on Saturday, November 9. (http://kdalyphoto.com/2013/10/29/holiday-photo-mini-sessions-in-stapleton-november-9/)  The weather prediction as of today is a high of 54 degrees and sunny.

Call me at 720-236-7506 or email me at kdalyphoto.com if you want to enjoy a quick and easy session for your holiday cards (or for your wall or gifts or just because).

Welcome, Baby Bennett!

Bennett was so adorable that our newborn session flew by, and his older brothers, Sam and Henry, were so good while we photographed their baby brother that I was in awe.  Lora and Nate and Lora’s mom Nancy also made the entire experience a delight. As an aside, I love using the book Guess How Much I Love You for a photo or two, and for Lora this book is especially meaningful, which made using the book even better.  Following is a small sample of the photos; thanks, Lora and Nate, for allowing me to capture your wonderful family in photos.

Asa Turns One!

WARNING: Asa is so darn cute he will steal your heart.  I had a great time yesterday photographing Asa and his parents, Karen and Brian. And Asa was such a trouper, weathering the 90+ weather at the end of the day and looking adorable in all of his photos.  Truman, the family dog, also stole the show in many of the photos!  Thanks, Karen and Brian, for allowing me to spend time with you all.

Grayson Explores Stapleton

I had the best time meeting four year old Grayson and his parents, Tim and Barb, at a park here in Stapleton on a recent morning. And Grayson not only owned the camera in the family photos, but he led me on an adventure through each piece of equipment and area in this mini-park (one of my favorites for photo shoots). I tell people that my job is to follow the child and just capture him/her playing. Grayson shows why this is my favorite thing to do. I’m so glad this family is part of the Stapleton community and that I had the privilege of capturing a small part of their lives. Thanks, Tim and Barb!

Welcome Baby Deacon!

What a beautiful baby Allison and Trevor just welcomed home. Deacon was born a little early (in fact, our photo shoot took place before his official due date), and was so sweet (as you can see from his photos). He decided to skip his morning nap, so stayed awake much longer than his parents had planned on, but that made it perfect for me, as I got to spend a little extra time with this wonderful little baby boy. I loved watching both Allison and Trevor interact with Deacon, as the love they showered on him was more touching than any photo. And since I have known Allison since she was in kindergarten, it was an even greater privilege for me to help record this moment. Congratulations, you two!

Kes Turns Two in Stapleton

We have been blessed with the best neighbors at our home in Stapleton. And so, when Colleen and Brian asked me to shoot a few photos of their darling daughter Kes on Colleen’s favorite day, Halloween, I jumped at the chance. And have felt guilty ever since that I never posted  any of my favorites from that day. But since she just turned two this week and I was honored to photograph her on this landmark occasion as well, I figured I’d just share photos of Kes…five months apart! She is such a delight to be around; I think you will reach the same conclusion from the photos below. Thanks, Colleen and Brian, for including me on these special days!
