Haley Senior Pictures
I so enjoyed shooting Haley’s senior pictures. Not only is she incredibly photogenic, but she and her mom made the time fun while we tried out some different settings. AND I just upgraded to Lightroom 3.0 and it has all kinds of new “looks” imbedded in the program. So, of course, I had to try out a few of those as well.
This effect is called “yesteryear.” I never thought I’d want to add yellowing to a photo, but I love the warmth of this effect.
And this effect is called “bleach.” I love the obvious names!!
There are now so many black and white options in Lightroom 3.0, but I prefer using my own preferences to achieve that softer look.
The “Direct Positive” is still one of the more fun choices for that edgy, modern look.
And, finally, most of the time I just let the model be herself. When she is as pretty as Haley, that makes my job so much easier!
Nolan Update
I am once again far, far behind on posts, but that doesn’t mean I can’t take a minute and share a few photos I took of Nolan last Thursday. More soon on some fun senior photos and a great wedding I had the privilege of shooting last night!
Tayler Celebrates in Parker
Tayler is five years old. And she is my hero. For the past year and a half this incredible child has fought and beaten a brain tumor that has rarely been defeated. She has done so while remaining unspoiled, delightful, and braver than many adults. This is a tribute not only to her but to her amazing family, especially her parents Shane and Alena and brother Tristen. And a couple of weeks ago, the water park in Parker stayed open to help over a hundred of their friends and family celebrate with Tayler. The night was special. As is she.
The celebration begins in Tayler’s backyard. Then it’s time to travel like a princess as Tayler arrives in style in a stretch limo!
Tayler has no trouble convincing her little brother to try out the water slide.
