Nolan at Two Months
I am at least four posts behind, but before I catch up, I need to share some photos I took of Nolan a couple of days ago. This is also my busy travel season and I never realized that being gone to some really cool places (Gulf Shores, San Diego, Boston, and Boulder) would make me so homesick to come home to this little redhead. I think the photos show why there is no place like home!
And my favorite photo of the day, caught in an unguarded moment.
Anna in Denver
My niece Anna is an incredible young teen. She has self-published a book, designed clothing and jewelry (which she sold and then donated to charity). And she is a joy to be around. She was in town yesterday on the way home from a family trip to the mountains and let me capture a few shots of her in my front “yard.” Thanks, Anna, for playing with me!
Nolan at Five Weeks
When Nolan was born on May 29, he weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and stretched out 22 inches. At his five week checkup yesterday, he weighed in at 11 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 24 inches. That’s four pounds. In five weeks. He is clearly thriving. And eating. And sleeping. And finally smiling! (We think!) Enjoy.
I shot this photo of his feet when he was 8 days old.
Look at the difference in four weeks!! (I had planned to shoot this photo of the rings back then, but forgot. I still love the symbolism of it.)
Lisa & Jamie Marry at Red Rocks
I absolutely loved shooting this wedding. The bride and groom traveled halfway across the world from Sydney, Australia, to marry each other at the Red Rocks Trading Post, which offered incredible views, as you will see for yourself. But the best views all day were those I witnessed while watching Lisa and Jamie as they exchanged vows, paid a visit to the downtown Tattered Cover (their favorite place), and then hosted a warm, relaxed reception at the Denver Art Museum. They knew exactly what they wanted on their wedding day, and I hope this tiny sampling of photos captures just a little of their joy.
