Kendall and Brothers

Watching 18 month old Kendall race from one playground prop to another, I had trouble remembering that a year ago she was recovering from open heart surgery. She is not only adorable, but fearless! She and her brothers, Joey and Grant, along with their mother and grandmother, made this photo session one of my most rewarding. Every once in awhile, I got them to pause to pose, but mostly, I just followed them and was rewarded with great photos and a great time.kendall-1

The following is my favorite photo of all, though, because it shows a mother’s love for her daughter as the daughter, safely in her arms, looks for the next adventure.

Julie & Chris Denver Wedding

I love shooting weddings; each event holds its own special memories for not only the bride and groom, but for me as a photographer. And I will remember Julie and Chris’s wedding for two very important, but different reasons. The first is that Julie was so willing to play in her photos that I didn’t even hesitate before asking her to climb into the master suite’s oversized bathtub for some pre-wedding photos (with and without daughter Taylor).  The second reason was the way the two of them kept looking at each other. In fact, I probably have more photos with one or the other sneaking delighted peaks than photos of them looking at me! (Which is as it should be.) Following is just a tiny sample of the bride and groom on their special day. And a chance to  thank you, Chris, for your service to our country.

Lily Turns Two

I love Lily. I love Lily’s mom. I love her dad.  And I know I will love the littlest one when she arrives next fall (I’m thinking Kathleen is a great name). As I looked over a few of the photos I have taken since I first met Lily at three months, I am reminded visually why she is so special.  I am just so glad that Alison and Colin have allowed me to document her growth.  Happy birthday, sweet Lily!
