Newborn Nicholas
My photo shoot with Melissa and Chip and Nicholas (and their two exuberant golden retrievers!) truly was a joy. One of the best parts of photographing newborns is watching the parents and baby communicate with each other. And, when awake, Nicholas really knows how to communicate. His favorite time was snuggled with either mom or dad and his LEAST favorite time was naked. Clothed or not, Nicholas is so beautiful it doesn’t really matter. And the love Mel and Chip have for Nicholas shines so clearly, I can just let the photos speak for themselves.

And it’s always fun to see how one photo looks with different effects applied.

Kelly & Mike Denver Wedding
With each wedding I shoot, I grow more in awe of the tremendous opportunity afforded me to witness the love and commitment couples show toward each other. This was especially true with Kelly and Mike’s April wedding. Snow had been predicted, lots and lots of snow. Instead we got bitter cold and wind and an outpouring of laughter and joy and just plain fun. Kelly and Mike were the perfect bride and groom—incredibly beautiful to photograph, willing to try different poses, and surrounded by families and friends that made the entire experience unforgettable. In fact, Kelly was so prepared she had snow boots and umbrellas all ready for the bridal party!
Following are just a few of my favorite pictures from their special day.

Baylor in Parker
One of my favorite ways to shoot toddlers is just to follow them around and see where they go. Well, Baylor kept me going! He is an adorable, sweet 16 month old who stopped only to grab another snack or stoically endure a diaper change. He was most proud of his ability to walk DOWN the stairs for the first time ever. (And his wonderful mom Cindy was equally proud.)
